About All The Calcs
All The Calcs provides free calculators for the United Kingdom, for work and pay, home projects, driving, tax and VAT, health and everyday maths. It exists because the arithmetic behind most everyday questions is simple, while the rules around it are not, and because most people want an answer in seconds rather than a sales pitch.

How the figures are checked
Every statutory rate, threshold and deadline is taken from the official source, usually GOV.UK, and dated on the page where it appears. Every one of them is also listed together, with its date and a link to its source, on the rates and sources page, so that you can check our working. Where the four nations of the United Kingdom differ, as they do on income tax, on redundancy pay and on holiday pay, the calculator asks which one applies rather than quietly assuming England.
How it is built
Every page is built from one shared design and one shared calculation engine, so a change made once applies everywhere and no page drifts away from the others. Each calculator is tested automatically against worked examples before it is published. Every calculation runs inside your own browser, and the site loads nothing at all from any other company.
This is not advice
The calculators and guides give general information only. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and they cannot take account of your particular circumstances. Where something matters, check it against the official source or with a qualified adviser before you act on it.
